Welcome — Here's What You're About to Build

You're going to build a real, live website. Not a mockup. Not a template. A page that lives on the actual internet, with a URL you can text to your friends or put in your email signature.

You'll do it using AI — specifically, a tool called Claude Code — by describing what you want in plain English.

Here's what the finished product looks like:

A personal webpage with your name, a short bio, your favorite things, links to your social profiles, and a clean, mobile-friendly design. Something you'd actually want to show people.

What you'll need

  • About 60–90 minutes — most of it watching AI do the work
  • A Mac or Windows PC with internet access (Mac is a bit smoother today, but Windows works great)
  • An email address — you'll create two free accounts along the way

Zero coding experience — seriously, none

How to Use This Tutorial

The checklist on the left tracks every step of the journey — each one gets a checkmark when you're done. Here on the right is where you'll find the instructions, screenshots, and explanations.

When you finish a step, hit Mark complete at the bottom and move to the next one.

💡 Pro Tip

If anything looks different from the screenshots, don't worry — these tools update often. Take a screenshot of what you're seeing and describe it to Claude Code. That trick is one of the most valuable skills you'll build here.
